Amanda McCool

I started my career in veterinary in 2015 as an Animal Care Assistant / Receptionist. Prior to this, I had a career in marketing and advertising spanning around 10 years, until I woke up one morning and decided I needed an exciting change, which eventually led me to veterinary nursing. Throughout my five years as an RVN I've worked in primary care practice as Lead RVN and Clinical Coach, a referral hospital as a Surgical Nurse where I completed a certificate in anaesthesia, and in my last role as the Principal Nurse Manager for an out-of-hours clinic, managing the clinic and around 20 staff members across 3 teams.

The BRM role came at a time in my career where I was starting to look for something a little different, and this role nicely combines all the skills I've gained to this point perfectly.

At home, I have 2 dogs, a cat and my amazing 14 year old son. One of my favourite things to do is just curl up on the sofa after a long day, next to my 4 faves.
