Veterinary Vision have appointed a new Hospital Director! Lisa Holme first joined us in 2017 as an administration assistant and just one year later, she was promoted to office manager, then became practice manager in 2020, a role that has been pivotal in the development of our new clinics in Glasgow and Bamber Bridge.
Under Lisa’s leadership, Veterinary Vision has also employed five additional ophthalmologists.
Lisa said: “I am very grateful to work with such a fantastic team across all of our sites. Without them Veterinary Vision would not be such a success.
“It is humbling to see the inspiring work that happens on a daily basis and is such a privilege to work alongside such a talented, caring and compassionate team.”
Colleagues have been keen to praise Lisa’s sunny disposition and excellent communication skills, while also putting the wellbeing of team members first, ensuring she always gets the best from them.
Chris Dixon, Clinical Director at Veterinary Vision, said: “Lisa’s promotion recognises the crucial part she has played in the evolution of Veterinary Vision, and the expansion of her role as the practice continues to grow.
“As well as overseeing day to day operations at all sites, Lisa will be taking on more responsibility for the ongoing development of Veterinary Vision.”
Outside of work, Lisa enjoys paddleboarding and tending a small flock of sheep she owns.
Lisa added: “Something I never get tired of watching is blind patients come in for an operation and leave being able to see their owners for the first time. It’s magical and something that is an honour to be a part of.”
Veterinary Vision is equipped for all types of ocular surgery with 15 veterinary ophthalmologists offering a vast range of experience and knowledge in small animal, and equine eye conditions.
