Advanced Practitioner Veterinary Ophthalmology

Originally from Tenerife, Nazaret qualified as a vet in the Canary Islands in 2014. She completed an internship in mainland Spain and shortly after moved to the UK in 2016. In her early years as a vet, she worked mostly in small animal practice but also did some mixed animal work. Nazaret had an interest in surgery and ophthalmology since she was at uni. She gained her certificate in Veterinary Ophthalmology in 2023, becoming an Advanced Veterinary Practitioner in Veterinary Ophthalmology in 2024.
 
Nazaret enjoys all aspects of ophthalmology but has a strong interest in ocular surgery, feline ophthalmology, brachycephalic ocular syndrome and uveitis management. She loves working at Veterinary Vision, where the team gets to see and manage many different ocular pathologies and perform surgery and other advanced treatments on the day.
 
Outside of work, she loves travelling , is a big foodie but also enjoys going to the gym, latin dance, hot yoga and paddleboarding.
 
She has two chubby rescue cats called Katsu Curry and Trufa and is known to her friends as the "crazy cat lady"!
