Richard McCallum

BVMS MRCVS

Lead Ophthalmologist

Richard's passion for veterinary medicine began at Edinburgh University, where he earned his BVMS MRCVS degree in 2006.

He continued his education in 2010 with a PgC in Small Animal Ophthalmology from Improve International. In 2017, he became an Advanced Practitioner in Ophthalmology.

Before joining Veterinary Vision, he was a Clinical Director at a small animal practice in Edinburgh, where he handled both ophthalmic referral cases alongside his first opinion caseload.

When he's not working, Richard enjoys various activities such as using and developing his home gym, exploring the countryside, wild swimming, and spending time with his wife and children. He is also the proud owner of a 9-year-old Border Terrier named Bramble and a 14-year-old cat named Sophie.
